The El Paso Public Television Foundation, a non-profit organization, began broadcasting non-commercial educational television in the El Paso area in 1978 as KCOS-TV, Channel 13. A community owned and operated station, PBS El Paso maintains the highest quality programming for its viewers through support generated from various corporations, foundations, and individuals.
