			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Unique opportunity for a talented, media sales professional to sell underwriting sponsorships for public television. The Texas PBS Stations are looking for a media sales representative to focus on corporate underwriting opportunities. This person would be located in or near the Dallas/Fort Worth area to assist in building relationships with advertising agencies that represent Texas businesses.</p>
<h2>Description</h2>
<ul>
<li>Work as a team with Texas station staff to maximize corporate underwriting potential in Texas.</li>
<li>Responsible for the research of program underwriting including the study of potential underwriter’s company, products and interests</li>
<li>Contacts and arranges meetings with potential underwriters</li>
<li>Develops presentations and proposals for underwriting prospects</li>
<li>Discusses and negotiates underwriting of a particular program or series</li>
<li>Prepares contracts, discusses terms and obtains signatures</li>
<li>Works with clients and station staff to ensure underwriting language meets Federal Communication Commission (FCC) Guidelines</li>
<li>Works with stations to ensure proper placement of underwriters logos and spots</li>
<li>Maintains periodic contact with underwriters and follows up regarding renewals</li>
<li>Maintains file of current, potential and past underwriters</li>
</ul>
<h2>Skills</h2>
<ul>
<li>Team player who is willing to work with account executives from other stations</li>
<li>A proven track record in outside sales. Media sales experience preferred.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently from a remote office</li>
<li>Highly motivated and results-oriented</li>
<li>Ability to build strong, long lasting client relationships</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree preferred</li>
<li>Some travel may be required</li>
</ul>
